ENCS Account Policy

Upon receiving your ENCS account you must agree to the following:

I will not allow anyone else to use my account, even by logging them in myself.

I will never disclose my password to anyone; not even to a system administrator.

I will change my password at my first login.

I will not use Concordia's computer or network resources for a nonacademic purpose.

I will not attempt to obtain the credentials or resources of other users.

I will read http://www.encs.concordia.ca/aits/public/nag/policies.html.

I understand that access to my account will be blocked if it is used in violation of these or any other aspects of Concordia's Policy on Computing Facilities.

I hereby agree that in return for the privilege of obtaining and using a Faculty of Engineering & Computer Science Computer Account, I will comply with all the rules of operation imposed by the ENCS Faculty and with all of the University’s applicable rules and policies. I further agree to use the Faculty's facilities and equipment only in order to fulfill my academic requirements and/or for purposes of teaching and/or research activities the whole for the sole benefit of Concordia University.

I agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations including the law governing copyright and the University’s Policy on Copyright Compliance and I recognize that my failure to comply with applicable policies, rules and laws could result in disciplinary, criminal or civil proceedings being instituted against me by the University or others.

I understand and agree that the Faculty of Engineering & Computer Science may obtain and use, in accordance with University policy and applicable laws and regulations, any or all programs I develop while using the username assigned to me. I understand and agree that any unauthorized, illegal or wrongful use of my account, the equipment or facilities will be subject to appropriate action by the University, including but not limited to the immediate suspension of my account and username.

I have requested that this agreement be drawn in English.
