How should I access the thesis disk space?

[Modified Friday, Aug 21st 2009 by claude]

All graduate students registered in a degree program requiring a supervised thesis are entitled to 500 MB of disk space in the '/thesis/u/username/' directory, which is intended for storage of any thesis-related files.

Under Unix/Linux, 'cd' to the above mentioned directory to verify the presence of your thesis directory. On an ENCS-managed cut in Windows, the Thesis space is automatically mapped to drive T. On a Windows user-managed cut, you need to manually mount the thesis directory to a drive (say drive T:). The mounting point is '\\filer-thesis\thesis\u\username'.

The letter 'u' represents the first character of your login name and the word 'username' is your actual login name.
