To prevent users from viewing other users' files, web directories are protected by giving file ownership to "null-web". To deal with this issue, a UNIX tool has been developed, which grants write permission to the files inside the protected directories. The user must log on to the server login.encs.concordia.ca and run the command:
fix_protected_webdir_perms
If no path is given as parameter, the tool will search all nul-web directories in the user's web directory and change the file(s) permission. This tool comes with a man page, so please refer to it for usage by running the following command:
man fix_protected_webdir_perms
