How to compile Fortran file in the lab?

[Modified Monday, Jun 29th 2009 by nguyen]

Currently, there is no "visual" component to fortran in the lab. You need to use command line.

Edit your file with any "text" editor, Crimson is a good choice. Save it
with a .f90 extension, say filename.f90.

When you are ready to compile:
- Start->Programs->Intel(R) Software Development Tools->"Build Environment for Fortran IA-32 applications"
which will open a DOS window with the correct environment set.
- Type in the following command in the DOS window you just opened
ifort.exe filename.f90
