[Modified Tuesday, Feb 8th 2005 by Karel]

Loading the factory menu

In order to use E-Factory programs you need to load the Factory menu into AutoCAD base menu. To do so you can use AutoCAD's menu command to load any base menu, including the standard menu for AutoCAD. Here are the steps you need to follow:

1)Start AutoCAD and open a new or existing drawing.
2)Type menuload, at the command prompt. The Menu Customization dialog box appears.
3)Click Browse. The Select Menu File dialog box appears.
4)From the Files of type pull down, select Menu File (*.mnc,*.mns).
5)Navigate to the folder containing factory.mnc. Click Browse to find the Factory menu file. Note: The default folder location is C:\\Program Files\\EDS\\Factory Programs V8.0\\Program, the program should located right away.
6)Select the factory.mnc file.
7)Click Open. The Select Menu File dialog box closes. The factory.mnc file name appears in File Name in the Menu Customization dialog box.
8)In the Menu Customization dialog box, click Load.
9)The Factory name is added to the list of Menu Groups.
10)Click Close.
Notes: The first time you load the Factory menu, installed Factory ARX and DBX files are loaded into memory and registered on the system. Depending on your system speed, this process may take several minutes.

Unloading the Factory Menu
If you chose to unload the Factory menu, follow the following steps
1)Use steps 1 and 2 in the previous topic.
2)Select FACTORYmenu group and click Unload.
3)Click Close.
