Outlook Email Configuration Changes

These steps outline how to change your settings for an existing IMAP account. If you have a POP account setup, then you will need to create an IMAP account in Outlook as POP is not supported.
- Go to Tools->Accounts
- You should see one or more accounts, similar to what you see below:

Select your default account and click on the Properties button. A window will appear with several tabs. The first tab is titled General (see below). You should be able to leave the settings as-is since this page describes the account name as well as your personal name and email settings.

Click on the Servers tab and use the values as shown below, except for the Account name setting, where you should enter your own username:

Click on the Advanced tab and use the values shown below:

Click on the IMAP tab and use the values shown below:

Click on OK to return to the Internet Accounts window, then click on Close. The following screen should display; click Yes:

If you are asked for your password, cancel the operation. Close Outlook at start it again.

- Go to Tools->Email Accounts and select the option to View or change existing email accounts. Then click on the Next button.
- You should see one or more accounts, similar to what you see below:

Select your default account and click on the Change... button. The Internet E-mail settings (IMAP) window will appear (see figure below). You should only change the Incoming mail server (IMAP) and Outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings to what is shown in the figure below.

Click on the More Settings... button and you display extended email settings. Click on the Advanced tab and use the values in the figure below:

Click on OK to return to the previous window.

Click on Next to return to the E-mail Accounts window.

Click on Finish to return to the main Outlook window.

If you are asked for a password, cancel the operation. Close Outlook and start it again.

These steps outline how to setup your Outlook2007 with ENCS Mail Account.
- Go to Tools -> Accounts Settings, select "New" for adding the new email account.
- Fill out as shown:

- Select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types, then Next
- In the "Choose Email Service" screen, select Internet E-mail, then Next
- Fill out as shown:

Note:
- Under Logon Information, note that you don't need the full email address, just the username (eg. j_smith)
- For SMTP mail server, use your ISP's SMTP.
- Click on "More Settings..." then go to tab Advanced. Fill out as shown:

- That's it. You're all set.
